Fabien will present Genomines, a deep-tech company pioneering plant-based extraction of critical metals. Genomines leverages plants that naturally accumulate metals, and that are enhanced through genetics and microbiology, to produce nickel with lower carbon emissions, reduced capital intensity, and shorter development timelines than traditional mining. The technology is modular, scalable, and compatible with existing refining and battery value chains, offering a pathway to resilient and sustainable critical mineral supply.

He is a second-time founder with a dual background in business and mining engineering. At Genomines, he leads the commercial strategy and fundraising to scale Genomines’ plant biotechnology for sustainable critical mineral supply. Fabien led Genomines’ $45 million Series A financing, announced in September 2025, to support the launch of its pilot projects in South Africa. His multicultural background supports his leadership of Genomines' international team and the company's global board, partners, and investors.
