600+ Years Later: The Entrepreneurial Journey of St Andrews
Gosia will share the entrepreneurial journey of the University of St Andrews - Scotland’s first university and the third oldest in the English-speaking world. The presentation will highlight recent developments such as the new Business School, the Entrepreneurship Centre at Eden Campus, and multi-disciplinary innovation initiatives, while exploring how a historic institution combines its world-leading academic excellence with its role as society’s engine of innovation and change. Drawing inspiration from MIT’s innovation frameworks, Gosia will outline St Andrews’ aspiration to create an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem and will discuss opportunities and challenges in building this ecosystem within a traditional academic setting.
