DTV: National Ecosystems
Switzerland ranks as one of the world’s most innovative economies, yet its high-potential spin-offs face systemic scaling barriers, including a domestic growth-capital gap, a shortage of experienced commercial leadership, and regulatory hurdles. Without intervention, top-tier research risks losing essential intellectual property, economic value, and technological sovereignty abroad. The Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation acts as an independent, cross-sector catalyst uniting leading companies, universities, and political stakeholders to tackle these structural deficits. By 2033, the foundation aims to double venture capital investment, help generate 100,000 deep tech jobs, and firmly establish Switzerland as the world's premier deep tech hub. This session covers the foundation’s strategic pillars - Venture Hub, Scale-up Booster, and International Promotion - and invites discussion on transatlantic dynamics in deep tech commercialization, capital markets, and policy.
