Said D Werner is a strategy advisor who works with governments, corporations, associations, foundations, and political parties. He is a research affiliate at MIT Sloan, interested in innovation, security policy, and entrepreneurial ecosystems. In 2023, he co-founded the MIT Murray Lab for Deep Tech and Geopolitics with Dame Fiona Murray, Phil Budden, and Georgie Skipper. Previously, Said served as a technology policy advisor to the Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and was a member of the Digital Economy Advisory Board to the State Minister for Economic Affairs of North-Rhine Westphalia. He holds an MLitt in International Business from the University of St. Andrews and studied in Munich, Berkeley, Buckingham, Vienna, and Friedrichshafen. At Zeppelin University, he served as Vice President for Student Affairs.
